Thomas J. “TJ” Donnelly 53, of Franklin, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday May 10, 2011 following a long illness. He was the husband of Denise E. (Cole) Donnelly.
Born in Hoboken, New Jersey September 29, 1957 a son of the late Edwin and Angela (Cutillo) Donnelly, he was raised and educated in New Jersey, and was a 1977 graduate of Memorial High School in West New York, New Jersey.
Mr. Donnelly was a self employed freight broker.
Since moving to Franklin 13 years ago, he became very active in Franklin youth sports. He was a coach for the Franklin Pop Warner football, Franklin Youth Baseball, and Franklin Youth Hockey. He also was a Franklin baseball umpire, a member of the Franklin High School Boys Hockey Boosters, team manager of the Central Mass Outlaws, and a member of the Franklin Youth Baseball hall of Fame, where he was inducted in 2009. He was also a member of the Franklin Country Club, the Boston Traffic Association, and the Foreign Commerce Association.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 24 years are his children Danielle M. Donnelly and Jonathan T. Donnelly of Franklin, a brother Edwin Donnelly of New Bergen, New Jersey, and his sister Rosemary Donnelly of West New York, New Jersey and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Saturday May 14th, at 11:45AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, www.oterifuneralhome.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. at 12:30PM.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
