LAKEVILLE Lucille Jeannette (Pigeon) Maynard, 87, formerly of Brockton died May 8, 2011. She was the loving wife of the late Francis J. Maynard. Lucille is survived by her children Jean-francois, David and his wife Rita, Dianne Reardon, and Thomas and his wife Elizabeth. She was the "Memere" of 17 grandchildren including the late Deborah Reardon and 33 great grandchildren. She is the sister of Roland Pigeon and his wife Pauline and the late Arthur Pigeon Jr., Edgar Pigeon and Theresa (Pigeon Licursi Kinney)Marston.
Lucille was the co-owner of Hilltop Gardens and Greenhouse. She loved cooking, canning, bingo, cards and her annual trips to Hawaii. She was the ultimate cook and host for all family reunions. Lucille lived most of her life in Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School in 1941. As an active member of the former Sacred Heart Church she participated in the Ste. Anne Sodality and the school Parents Guild.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday May 12, 2011 4-8 pm in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton. Her funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Friday May 13, 2011 at 9:30 am followed by a funeral Mass at Christ the King Parish at 10:30 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lucille’s name to Life Care Center Raynham, Patient Activity Department, 546 South Street East, Raynham, MA 02767.
