STONE Jonathan Irvine passed away on May 9, 2011 at his home in Hopkinton. He was 60 years old and a former long-time resident of Natick. Jon was born on August 28, 1950 and raised in Wellesley by his late parents, Lewis and Zurna Stone. As a professional tree climber and founder of Stone's Tree Service, Jon was happiest while outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed trees, flowers, and gardening. Jon created a green oasis at his previous home in Natick, turning a masterful hand to his gardens and lawns. He also enjoyed cheering on all of his favorite New England home teams, particularly the Patriots. Most especially, Jon loved his family and was enormously proud of his children and their accomplishments. In turn, he was adored by everyone in his extended family and beyond for his humor, generous spirit, and admired for his hardworking approach to life and all it offered.
Jon leaves behind his beloved wife of nearly 32 years, Beverly (Scearbo) Stone, and two children, Matthew Stone of Walpole and Erica Stone of Wellesley. He is survived by his brother Christopher Stone of Framingham, his sisters Debbie Fitzpatrick of Bellingham, Abby MacDonald of Framingham, Tally Lent of Petersham, and Felicia Hoffman of Dover. Jon also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
