Leicester: Andrew L. Stanhope, 51 of 92 Pleasant Street died Friday Jan. 23 at home. He leaves his wife of 25 years Jane C. (Campbell) Stanhope, a son Daniel J. Stanhope of Leicester, a daughter Janna M. Merk wife of Kevin A. of Marlborough,his parents Alan and Nancy (Lawrence) Stanhope of Paxton, two brothers Lincoln Stanhope of Fiskdale and Adam Stanhope of Worcester, a sister Bethann Palmerino of Holden, nieces and nephews. Mr. Stanhope was born in Worcester and was a 1971 graduate of Wachusett Regional High School, he attended Worcester Junior College. Mr. Stanhope was a Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer at Webster Five Cents Savings Bank (Commercial St.) in Worcester for the past two years, previously he worked at Bank of Boston, Fleet, and W.C.I.S. in Worcester. He was a member, Eucharistic Minister and Finance Committee member of St. Pius X Church in Leicester. He was also a board member of Family Health Services in Worcester, former Treasurer of the Leicester Little League, once served on the Leicester Advisory Board, and former member of the Shrewsbury Rotary Club. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, and enjoyed all sports. The funeral will be held Monday Jan. 26 from the MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1158 Main St., Leicester. Burial will be in St.Joseph Cemetery, Leicester.
