ROCKINGHAM: Mrs. Janie Elizabeth 'Lib' Mauldin, 73, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:oo Pm on Thursday, May 12, in the Outreach for Jesus Church with Bishop Marvin Taylor and Rev. Mike Rankin officiating. Internment will follow in the Northam Cemetery Extension.
A lifelong resident of Richmond County, Lib was born in Rockingham on July 3, 1937 to the late Leo and Vicky Sellers Honeycutt. Prior to becoming disabled she worked at the Roberdel Laundry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Hubert Mauldin, a son Bennie H. Mauldin, Jr., and a sister, Linda Jacobs.
She is survived by three sons, Timothy, Ross, and Michael Gibson all of Rockingham; two daughters, Shirley Ann Brayboy and Faye Jeter both of Rockingham; a brother, Howard Honeycutt of Cordova; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7-9 at Outreach for Jesus Church, and other times at 27 6th Avenue, Aleo, Rockingham.
