Kenneth J. Mitchell,, 58 of South Main Street, Pascoag, died Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Patricia (Tobin) Mitchell.
Born and raised in Smithfield, RI, he was the son of Charlotte (Duckworth) Mitchell of Hope Valley, RI and the late Robert Mitchell. He had been a lifelong resident of Smithfield, RI until moving to Pascoag almost 20 years ago.
He was a member of the Pawtuxet Rangers, the Cumberland Bugle Club and a former member of the Glocester Light Infantry (Retired Colonel). He enjoyed hunting, fishing and restoring automobiles.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons Pvt. Kevin J. Mitchell (NFD – Company President), 34 of Nasonville, RI and his partner Joseph M. Gasco and Brendan P. Mitchell, 16 of Pascoag. He also leaves a sister Pamela Provost and her husband Col. Greg Provost, RIM of Richmond, RI.
Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10am in St. Joseph Church, Pascoag. Burial in Acote’s Hill Cemetery, Chepachet, RI. Visitation Friday 4-7pm in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
