Joyce M. St. Andre, 73, of Franklin passed away peacefully on Sunday May 8, 2011 with her loving family at her side. She was the beloved wife of Robert St. Andre for the past 44 years.
Born and raised in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Beatrice (Marenghi) Pepi. Joyce was a graduate of Framingham High School, class of 1956 and obtained a bachelor’s degree from Framingham State College. Joyce taught elementary students for more than 40 years, retiring from the Framingham School System. She loved teaching and was devoted to her students throughout her distinguished career.
Joyce was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, aunt and grandmother who will be deeply missed. She was happiest spending time with her family and friends who will cherish the memory of her loving, selfless ways.
In addition to her husband, Joyce is survived by her sons, Michael and his wife Amy of Framingham; Stephen and his wife Teresa of Bloomfield Hills, MI and her grandchildren, Joseph, Lauren, Thomas and Matthew. She is also survived by her brother David Pepi, his wife Heather and their daughter Calyx of River Falls, WI and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday May 12 in St. Mary’s Church in Fraklin at 10:00. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main St. in Franklin.
In lieu of Flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Joyce’s memory to a scholarship fund that has been established in her honor at Mount Saint Charles Academy.
