Alexandrina (Braga) Soares, 84, of Stoughton, died at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Sunday, May 8. She was the wife of Jose C. Soares. Mrs. Soares was born in Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal and lived in Stoughton since 1970. She was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting, sewing and watching religious television.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Soares is survived by her son Daniel B. Soares of Stoughton and her granddaughter Diane J. Soares of Stoughton. She was predeceased by her son Manuel B. She was the sister of Filomena Sousa of Stoughton and also the sister of the late Maria DeSousa and Conceicao Cabral. She was survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday, May 11 at 9:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 5–8 PM. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery,Stoughton.
