I Joaquim Soares originally of Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Azores at the age of 82 have been taken today May 4, 2011 in Framingham, MA by Prostate Cancer. I fought long and hard, but I’ve been beaten by this terrible disease . I leave behind two beautiful daughters; Maria Albertina (Tina) Almeida of Somerset, MA and Paula DeCourcey-Carvalho of Framingham, MA. My daughters were my greatest lifetime achievement and I was so deeply proud of both of them. I also leave behind three grandsons, a granddaughter, a great grandson and a great granddaughter. There will be no funeral services at my request and my ashes will be spread with the presence of my immediate family. I have made my peace. From dust I came and to dust I shall return.
