Edna (Mayfield) Rice 79 passed away Wednesday May 4, 2011 at Rivers Edge Health Care. She retired after 32 years as a computer programmer for Sysco Foods and volunteered serving coffee to the fireman at the Crusade for Children for 35 years She is preceded in death by her parents; Mary and Joseph Mayfield Sr. Survivors: 1 daughter Abbie Rich(Scott), 4 grandsons ; James, Johnpaul ,Andrew and Steven. 1 great-grandaughter; Christine 3 brothers Raymond Mayfield, Roy Mayfield and Joseph Mayfield Jr. 3 sisters; Dorothy McDaniel, Edith Collins, and Margaret Thompson. Her funeral will be Saturday 12pm at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation Friday 12pm to 8pm Expressions may be made to the Crusade for Children
