Eleanor H. (Maglione) Mongiello, a long-time Medford resident died Tuesday at Winchester Hospital.
Born and raised in Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Michael and the late Josephine (Steriti) Maglione. A devoted wife and mother, Eleanor enjoyed the company of family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, spoiling them with her love and care.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Mongiello, who died in 1976. She was a devoted mother to Joseph Mongiello and his wife Roberta of Medford and the late James Mongiello. She was a loving grandmother to Joseph Mongiello and his wife Lauren, Jaida Mongiello Higgins and her husband Brian, Jamilee Kelly and the late Nicholas Kelly. She also leaves her loving great-grandchildren: Joseph, Gianna, Skyla and Shane.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, May 7th at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
