Obituary

Worcester – Sherman D. Millett, 93, of Worcester died on Tuesday, May 3rd in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence.

His wife Anna (Kimball) Millett died in 1987. Mr. Millett is survived by a son Sherman Millett Jr. and his wife Sylvia of Auburn; four daughters Betty Adams and her husband George of East Dennis, MA, Patricia Joslyn and her husband Charles of Worcester, MA, Judythe Whitney and her husband Clifford of Thompson, CT and Mary Lloyd and her husband Daniel of Auburn, MA; a sister in law Mary Millett of Worcester; 19 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

Sherman was born in Worcester son of the late William and Irene (Blanchard) Millett and is predeceased by three sons, Ronald Millett who died in 1985, David Millett who died in 2007 and John Millett who died in 2008 and six brothers and sisters.

He is a veteran of World War II and served in the United States Army Air Corps. He worked as a district supervisor for the Cumberland Farms Corporation for over 25 years retiring in 1987.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, May 7th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 PM on Friday, May 6th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main Street Worcester, MA01603.
