John “Jack” Larson passed away on May 2, 2011. He was 78 years old.
Born and raised in Malden, John was a lifelong resident of the Edgeworth section of the city. He graduated from Malden High School in 1951 and worked for the First National stores in Malden. He was a former employee of TRW Car Fasteners in Cambridge where he had worked for 37 years. John was manager of the Nelson’s Bakery (fastpitch) Softball Team and was an avid Bruins and Red Sox fan.
John was the devoted husband of the late Catherine (Bradley) Larson, his wife of 42 years. He was the beloved father of Edward J. Larson and his wife Ann Marie and Kevin Larson and his wife Patricia all of Malden. John was the dear brother of the late Edward J. Larson, Harry Larson Jr., Mary Ruth Rodgers and Joan Larson. He was the cherished grandfather of Gregory, Steven, Brian and Christopher Larson and the dear uncle of B. Doug Rodgers. John was also the best buddy of Rusty, Mr. Ed, Ginger and Miss Molly.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, May 6th at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday, May 5th from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
