Mrs. Virginia Lois Bryant, age 83, widow of the late Perry Rufus Bryant Sr., of Pilot Mountain, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2011 at Golden Living Center of Surry Community. She was born on July 11, 1927 in Surry County to the late Hardin Austin and Josephine Stone Reddick. Mrs. Bryant was a textile worker for Sara Lee; a member of Simmons Grove Baptist Church; and Mount Airy Eastern Star. Mrs. Bryant is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Perry (Vickie) Bryant of Pilot Mountain; two grandchildren, Daryl (Christi) Bryant of Candler, NC and Buffy (Craig) Inscore of Pilot Mountain; and five great-grandchildren, Peyton and Spencer Inscore, Drew and Reid Bryant and Adison Needham. Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband; parents; 7 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Cox-Needham Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Doug Brinkley officiating with interment to follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 till 11:00 AM prior to the service.
