METHUEN: Jeanne A. (Rivard) Hodge 79, of Methuen, died peacefully at home on Sunday, May 1, 2011.
Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Pierre and Angelina Rivard. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Lawrence and worked in the shoe shops in her early years. Before her retirement, she worked at the former AT&T Technologies.
She was predeceased, after 47 years of marriage, by her husband Warren J. (Mickey) Hodge who passed away in 2004. She is survived by three daughters, Paula J. Alliette and husband Steven, Kathleen L. Giroux and Richard Bochman, Susan D. Griebel and husband Lee; and one son, Michael W. Hodge and Sharon Tovey. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Andre P. Giroux, Christina J. Silva and husband Eric, Kimberly J. Harris, Tyler J. and Dalton J. Griebel and two great-grandchildren , Autumn and Noah Silva. Jeanne is also survived by one very special brother Raymond Rivard and his wife Sandra, brothers-in-law Thomas Brennan, and Charles Hodge, and sister-in-law Maria Hodge as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her two sisters Louise Goguen and Doris Brennan.
Arrangements: Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:00a.m. in St. Monica’s Church in Methuen, MA with burial to follow in the Elmwood Cemetery also in Methuen.
