George R. Gendron, 67, of Manchester died May 1, 2011 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a short illness.
He was born in Newburyport, MA on July 4, 1943, the son of William J. and Beatrice (Maryea) Gendron. He attended Exeter High School.
George had been employed for many years with Genest Bakery and had worked at St. Anselm College for the past eight years.
Helping others gave George his greatest joy in life and he had volunteered his time at both the former Ste. Jean de Baptist Parish and with the Knights of Columbus.
He was a devoted husband, father, brother and friend to many who will be greatly missed.
Family members include his wife of 48 years, Carole (Tardiff) Gendron of Manchester; one daughter, Mrs. David (Deborah) Simard of Manchester; one brother, Donald Gendron of Bedford; one sister, Theresa Pinette of Epsom; nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother Richard Gendron.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in the Abbey Church at St. Anselm College. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
