Victor Caruso, age 69 of Somerville died Friday in Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody. He was the husband of Beverly (Kostas) with whom he shared nearly 25 years of marriage. Born and educated in Avellino, Italy, son of the late Angelo and Antonia (Russo) Caruso. Victor was the proprietor and operator of the former Sorrento Pizzeria and Restaurant in Medford Square. Always an active man, he was very handy in carpentry and remodeling. He was musically gifted and played piano and guitar by ear. He and his wife would often go out to hear live music and he loved to dance. Victor was a big soccer fan and also loved gardening. Nothing was more important than his family and he loved family get togethers. In earlier years he enjoyed bowling. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Gina Fiore and her husband Christian of Nashua, NH and Rita Farrell of Wilmington, two sons: Ralph Caruso and his wife Chrissi of Peabody, Joseph Caruso and his fiancé Joni of Everett Loving grandfather of AnnMarie, Liam And Aidan Farrell. Victor leaves two sisters: Maria Bozzella and her husband Sabatino of Boston, Josephine Cappuccio and her husband Pasquale of Malden, two brothers: Peter Caruso of Revere and Carmine Caruso of Wakefield. He is the brother of the late Maria Luigia Bonito, Gaetana Fiorino, Giovanni, Mario and Antonio Caruso. He is the cherished uncle, grand uncle and great grand uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main Street Medford on Wednesday at 9:00 am. Funeral Mass in St. Clement Church 71 Warner Street Medford at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 pm. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
