WORCESTER-Josephine A. (Zeleskas) Clifford, 92, of Worcester, died Wednesday, April 27th in St. Vincent Hospital, after a brief illness. Her husband of 52 years, John J. Clifford, died in 1986. She leaves a daughter, Eleanor M. Antreassian of Worcester; a son, John J. Clifford of Harwich; a brother, Albin Tribandis of Worcester; a grandson, Douglas Antreassian and his wife Anita of Bath, ME; two great grandchildren, Grayson and Willow Antreassian. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Tribandis and her sister, Alberta Eagan.
Mrs. Clifford was born in Worcester, the daughter of Mathew and Eva (Pigaga) Zeleskas. She was the penultimate homemaker, a self-taught cook, seamstress, and devoted mother and grandmother. She was recently a resident of the Lutheran Healthcare Center, where she received excellent care from the medical and activities staffs. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army, 72 Cambridge Street, Worcester, MA 01603. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
