METHUEN - Leo H. Gaumond 70, of Methuen died Tuesday April 26, 2011 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.
Born and educated in Methuen, where he was a longtime resident, attending St. Lucy’s Church, he was the son of the late Albert and Ruth (Fagan) Gaumond. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. Leo worked for many years at Danvers State Hospital where he was a maintenance supervisor. He enjoyed doing yard work at his home, spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and watching classic movies.
He leaves his wife of 49 years C. Kay (Berry) Gaumond. He is also survived by his children, Shawn D. Gaumond and his wife Kelly Anne, Scott D. Gaumond, Rick R. Gaumond and his wife Jody, Randy R. Gaumond and his wife Michelle and Stacy E. Morris and her husband Greg.
Grandchildren Meghan, Erin, Tabetha, Rebecca, Ryan, Bradley, Sarah, Aiden, Kate and Nick.
Several great-grandchildren
One sister-in-law Faith Gaumond and one nephew Albert Gaumond.
Leo also leaves a close family friend Apiruk Poonsuksiriwattana.
Leo was pre-deceased by his grandson Rick Gaumond, Jr, and also his brother Albert Gaumond.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00a.m. in St. Lucy’s Church in Methuen with burial to follow in the Elmwood Cemetery also in Methuen, MA.
