Mrs. Brenda Kay Ring Mabe, age 63, of Danbury, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on March 8, 1948 in Stokes County to the late Charles and Odessa Mae White Ring. Mrs. Mabe retired from the Cross Creek Manufacturing, and was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Mabe is survived by her husband, Dean Mabe, of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Ann and Barry Lee Mabe, of Walnut Cove; two sisters, Joey Bowman, of Walnut Cove and Janet Stevens, of Lawsonville; mother-in-law, Katherine Mabe; several nieces and nephews; and two grandchildren, Brittany Leigh Mabe and Travis Dean Mabe. She was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, Ulus Mabe. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Lawsonville Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Roy Fagg officiating with interment to follow at Samaria Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 29, 2011 at Lawsonville Baptist Church from 6:00 until 8:00 PM., and at other times at the home of Katherine Mabe or her sister’s home Janet Stevens.
