I L Gammons, 81, of Clarksville, TN, died Thursday April 28, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center.
Services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel wth Rev. Michael Gammons officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin, KY.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Mr. Gammons was born November 19, 1929 in Macon Couny, TN son of the late Hermon Gammons and Flora Mae Cothran Gammons, He was also preceded in death by his son, Kerry Lee Gammons.
He was retired from Jenkins & Wynne Ford Car Delearship where he had worked in management for 43 years. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann Hargis Gammons; daughter, Cindy Clements, Clarksville; step-daughter, Bridget Brown, Bowling Green, KY; two brothers, Bobby Gammons (Theda), White House, TN; and Euell Gammons (Betty Sue), Horse Cave, KY; and grandchildren, Bobby Linville, III, Hartsville, TN; Allison Clements and Kyle Clements, both of Clarksville.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Clements, Bobby Linville, Ricky Clements, Bobby Heaton, Danny Farmer, and James Wilkinson. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews and great nephews and employees of Jenkins and Wynne.
