Sr. Aline Laperle, CSC, (Sr. Mary Henrietta), 89, of the Sisters of Holy Cross, 357 Island Pond Rd., Manchester died February 7, 2002 at her residence.
Born in Coaticook, Quebec, Canada on September 12, 1912, she was the daughter of Theophile and Rose Anna (Lafaille) Laperle. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Holy Cross in 1930 and pronounced her final vows in 1937.
Sr. Laperle earned a bachelor’s degree from Notre Dame College, Manchester. She then taught at parochial elementary schools in Manchester, Nashua, Somersworth, Rochester, Suncook and New Bedford, MA. She later served several years as a housekeeper at rectories in Pittsfield and Attleboro, MA. She retired to St. George Manor, Manchester in 1982.
The family includes nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday February 9, 2002 in the chapel at St. George Manor. Burial was in St. Augustin Cemetery, Manchester.
