Lena “Lee” (Carangelo) DeMinico a longtime Winchester resident died peacefully at Elizabeth Seton Residence in Wellesley. She was 96.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John and the late Teresa (Sorrentino) Carangelo. Lee was a devoted wife and mother and grandmother who enjoyed the company of family and friends.
She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick J. DeMinico, Sr and leaves her devoted sons: Frederick J. DeMinico, Jr and his wife Susan of Needham, Paul DeMinico and his wife Linda of Sanbornton, NH. She was a loving grandmother to Frederick, Paul, Jennifer and Matthew of Needham and Michael, Peter and David of Sanbornton, NH. She was a dear sister of Florence Carangelo of Stoneham, Rita Nollett and her late husband Donald of Stoneham, Sophia "Toby" Koryta and her late husband Edward of Cleveland, OH, the late Ann Carangelo, Margaret Bova and Vincent Carangelo. Lee also leaves many caring nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday, April 30th at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Mary Church, 155 Washington Street, Winchester, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home on Friday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
