Robert W. Morandi, 75

Dateline: Sharon, MA

Robert W. Morandi, 75, a lifelong resident of Sharon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 27, 2011 at the Rosewood Manor in Harwich.
Born in Sharon, MA on August 17, 1935, he was a loving son of the late Mario J. and Anna M. (Spina) Morandi.
Bobby grew up and was educated in Sharon, and was a graduate of the Norfolk Agricultural School in Walpole. During the Korean War, he proudly served his country in the United States Army for two years, prior to be honorably discharged.
A talented crane and heavy equipment operator, Mr. Miranda was a member of the Local 4 Union in Hyde Park for over 15 years prior to retiring. One of his favorite pastimes included trips to Foxwoods.
The devoted brother of Richard J. Morandi of Louisiana, Roger B. Morandi of Sharon and Raymond L. Morandi of Dennis, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday May 3rd at 11:00 A.M. at the Rock Ridge Cemetery in Sharon.
Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Mr. Morandi with a donation in his memory made to Broad Reach Hospice , 390 Orleans Road, North Chatham, MA 02650.
