William Edwin Swords, Sr., 56, of Tifton died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at his residence. Private services and burial will be held at a later date.
Mr. Swords was born on October 13, 1954 in Tift County and was the son of George Cecil Swords and Vera Dickens Swords, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by one brother, James Larry Swords. He was disabled but a former mechanic with Parker Automotive.
Mr. Swords is survived by one son, William Edwin Swords, Jr. of Savannah; two daughters, Georganne Swords of Tifton and Amy Swords of Jacksonville, Florida; and one granddaughter, Madison Walsh of Fitzgerald.
