Kathleen C. “Kay” (Murphy) McNally, 81, of Medway died April 25 in her home following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Joseph L. McNally who died in 2005.
Born in Boston, May 15, 1929, the daughter of the late Andrew and Bridget (Duffy) Murphy, Mrs. McNally was raised in the Mission Hill section of Boston and had lived in Medway for the past 50 years.
Mrs. McNally had been the secretary for St. Joseph’s Church in Medway for 40 years. She had worked up until six months ago in the Church office.
Kay loved her job and going to work but more so was being around her extended family.
She is survived by her children, Robert McNally and his wife Mary Ann of Medway, Eileen Berset and her husband Gary of Medway, Pauline Lambirth and her husband David of Medway and Joseph McNally and his wife MaryJo of Scituate.
She is also survived by her sister Pauline Quinn of Medway and her sister-in-laws, Rose Murphy of Naples, Florida and Phyllis Murphy of Walpole.
She was the sister of the late John Murphy, Frances Griffin, Marie Hayes, Nancy Sullivan and Bernie Murphy.
She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, April 29 from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church at 10:00
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
