Henry Albert Levesque, Jr., 72, died April 24, 2011 in Essex Park Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beverly. He was the husband of Judith C. (French) Levesque.
He was born in Fall Rivers, MA on Aug. 28, 1938, the son of Henry A. Sr., and Louise (Silvia) Levesque. Henry was the oldest of seven children. He joined the U.S. Army in 1955 at age 17, serving twenty-two plus years in the regular Army and the National Guard. Henry also was employed with the Town of Danvers in the Building and Maintenance Department for 17 years. He married Judith on Nov. 12, 1960. They met while both were stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on 2010.
Henry’s passion was flying. He was licensed to fly single and twin engine planes. He shared his passion with many students. Now he will soar forever.
Besides his wife Judy, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Richard Dudzisz of Sanford, ME and Ann and Shawn Hawkins of Danvers, five grandchildren, Danielle, Cameron, Robert, Lauren and Collin, three brothers, Norbert, John and Norman Levesque, two sisters, Patricia Dykeman and Jacqueline Levesque and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Robert Levesque.
A Funeral Service will be held at 6PM on Thurs., April 28, 2011 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Vst. hrs will be held prior to the service from 3-5:45PM in the funeral home.
