In Taunton, of Raynham, April 21, 2011 Mary “Elsie” (Minardi) Smith beloved wife of the late Robert L. Smith died at Longmeadow of Taunton with her family by her side at the age of 92. Born in Franklin, Elsie was the daughter of the late Arthur and Rosa (Mencarelli) Minardi. She was a graduate of Taunton high School and Hyannis State Teachers College. Elsie was a retired school teacher for the city of Taunton for over forty years at Caswell School. She loved reading, opera and poetry. Elsie was the Sister of Raymond Minardi of Raynham and William Minardi of Adams, Ma and loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Tuesday, April 26th from 10-11 AM. A Mass will be held at Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 11:30 AM. Interment St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton. In lieu of flowers donations in Elsie’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Mass Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, Ma, 02472.
