Calogero ‘Charlie’ D'Anna, 73 of Somerville, died Tuesday after a long illness in Somerville, MA.
Born in Italy, he lived in Somerville for the past 48 years and was the son of the late Santa (Mulone) and Gaetano D'Anna. Charlie worked in the Maintenance department at the Chelsea Soldiers Home for over 10 years and retired in 2001.
Beloved husband of Maddalena (Mulone) D’Anna. Devoted father of Sandra Rosatone and her husband Frank of Malden, Gaetano D'Anna and his wife Lisa of Wilmington, Maria Silva and her husband Anthony of Somerville. Loving grandfather of Amanda, Sarah, Brandon, Katlyn and Alexander. Brother of Carmelo D'Anna, Maddalena Giardina both of Somerville, and the late Giuseppa Giardina.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Monday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
