Obituary

Ann M. (Russo) Cericola, 95, of Natick, MA formerly of Danbury, CT, passed away on April 21, 2011 surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. Ann was the beloved wife of Joseph D. Cericola with whom she shared 39 years of marriage and the late Thaddeus R. Perretti who passed away in 1952.
Born in Jersey City, N.J., Mrs. Cericola was raised and educated in Danbury, CT. After graduating from high school she went on to study and graduate from the Danbury Hospital School of Nursing. During WWII, Mrs. Cericola worked as a Registered Nurse at the Ft. Devens Army Base in MA and also at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in West Roxbury, MA. She later worked as an Industrial Nurse for the American Cyanamid Company in Danbury, CT. Mrs. Cericola was a devoted parishioner at St. Patrick’s Church in Natick, MA and was a lover of flowers.
First and foremost in her life was her dedication to her family. Ann spent her entire life caring for other people both personally and professionally. Mrs. Cericola’s family wishes to acknowledge the loving care she received at the Leonard Morse Hospital and Mary Ann Morse Nursing Care Facility.
In addition to her husband, Ann is survived by her devoted daughter Jacqueline Powers and her husband Robert Powers of South Windsor, CT; her grandsons, Scott Powers and his wife Angela Powers of Natick, MA and Christopher Powers and his fiancée Genesis Ingersoll of Bethesda, MD; her great-grandsons, Carter and Shea Powers; her brother Albert Russo of Danbury, CT; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John Russo, James Russo, Joseph Russo, Katherine Cibbarelli, Rose Grgach, and Helen Stryker.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her funeral on Monday, April 25, 2011 at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick’s Church, Natick, MA. Visiting hours will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) NATICK, MA on Monday morning from 8:30-9:30 AM. Burial will take place on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 1:00 PM in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Danbury, CT.
