Obituary

SALEM- Sonya S. (Niedzwiecka) Plecinoga, 87, wife of the late Thadeus “Ted” Plecinoga, of Salem, died Wednesday evening, February 6, 2002, at her home following a short illness.

Born and raised in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Kulaga) Niedzwiecki

Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years as a fancy stitcher at various shoe companies in Salem.

Mrs Plecinoga was a member of the Forrester Yarn Club of Salem and was a long time parishioner of the St John The Baptist Church of Salem.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Edward G. and Barbara H. Plecinoga of Salem, one daughter, Marijane C. Plecinoga of Salem, four grandchildren, Mark E. and his wife Karen Plecinoga of Westwood, Matthew E. Plecinoga and Michael E. Plecinoga, both of Salem, Martin E. and his wife Amanda Plecinoga of Beverly, two great grandchildren, Kaitlin Plecinoga and Evan Plecinoga of Westwood, a sister-in-law, Charlotte Plecinoga of Salem and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alphonse, and Joseph Niedzwiecki, Peter Nevins, Victoria Niedzwiecka, Rose Condratowicz and Anna Rutyna.

Her funeral service will be held on Monday, February 11, 2002, at 8 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 am at the St John The Baptist Church, Salem. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Sunday, 4 to 8 pm. Burial is in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
