Mrs. Anne T. (Krupka) MacHaffie, formerly of Taunton, died Wednesday, April 20 in the Life Care Center of West Bridgewater following a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Earl G. MacHaffie. She was born 88 years ago in Pittsfield, the daughter of the late Wasil and Edwina (Dubiski) Krupka. She was educated in Pittsfield and had been a Taunton resident since 1950, before moving to West Bridgewater in 2009. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a teller for the Taunton Federal Credit Union for 20 years. She had previously been employed by the former A.T. Cross Company in Taunton for a number of years. She enjoyed bowling in the Lamplighter League at the former Roseland Lanes in Taunton, knitting, taking care of her plants and spending time with her family. Mrs. MacHaffie was a communicant of the former St. Paul’s Church in Taunton.
She leaves: 3 sons: Robert E. MacHaffie of Ft. Myers, Fla., James G. MacHaffie and his wife, Linda of Enterprise, Ala., and Brian E. MacHaffie and his fiancee, Birgitta of Chicago, Ill; 1 daughter: Barbara A. Bonenfant and her husband, Emil Kleiner; 2 brothers: Peter and Donald Krupka both of Pittsfield; 3 grandchildren: Mark Bonenfant and his wife, Lori, John Bonenfant and his wife, Susan of Huntingtown, Md., and Shaun MacHaffie and his wife, Sabrina of Enterprise, Ala; 7 great grandchildren: Jacqueline, Kyle, Josie and Samantha Bonenfant, Christopher, Luke and Paul MacHaffie, and several nieces and nephews. Anne was also the mother of the late Earl G. MacHaffie.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Tuesday, April 26 at 10:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Church, Middleboro, at 11:30 A.M. Interment will be in the V.A. National Cemetery, Bourne. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
