Margaret M. Chierus (Landers) of Canton passed away April 20th at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton. Born in Greenville, ME she previously lived in Dorchester and has lived in Canton for the last 54 years. She was the first female Cab Driver in the Town of Canton where she worked for Canton Taxi and previously worked for New York New Haven Railroad where she worked in the Reservations Department and also worked in Data Entry for Cumberland Farms in Canton for 10 years. She enjoyed art, ceramics and the beach. Beloved wife of the late Peter J. Chierus. Mother of Stephen J. & his wife Claire Kelley of Plymouth, Peter J Jr. & his wife Sharon Chierus of N. Attleboro, Brian V. Chierus of Canton & Henry T. & his wife Maryanne of Kelley Houston, TX., Donna M. Garnhum & her late husband George Garnhum of Norton, Joann M. Chierus & John MacDonald of Canton, Eileen P. & her husband James Magee, Jr. of Canton & Carolyn Buras of Houston, TX. Also survived by her lifetime friends Eileen P. Campbell and Virginia Dempsey of Stoughton & 8 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Saturday April 23rd 3-7 pm. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Monday morning April 25th at 10:30. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton.
