WORCESTER-Lucille P. (McCarty) Paiker George, 84, of Worcester, died Tuesday, April 19th in Millbury Healthcare Center. Her husband of 52 years, Samuel J. George, died in 2010. She leaves two sons, William D. George and his wife Deborah of Sutton and Robert J. George and his wife Mary of Spencer; her daughter, Beverly F. Beauregard and her husband Roland of Spencer; two brothers, Lawrence and LeRoy McCarty of Solon, ME; two sisters, Florence Spaulding and Beverly Grover, both of Madison , ME; five grandchildren, Christine, Rebecca, Robert, Jr., Nicholas and Timothy; many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her first husband, Chester S. Paiker and her sister, Arlene Foster.
Mrs. George was born in Solon, ME, the daughter of David and Hazel (Hunnewell) McCarty. She was a graduate of Solon High School and the Commerce School of Business. Mrs. George was a teller at the Worcester County Institute for Savings. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. Mrs. George enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and gardening.
The funeral is Thursday, April 21st from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Liturgy of the Word at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Thursday from 8:30 until 9:30 AM in the funeral home.
