Whitman – Patrick J. Doyle, Sr. 73 of Whitman passed away Saturday April 16 in the Brockton Hospital, surrounded by his loving wife and family to comfort him as he passed, after a long and courageous battle with congestive heart failure and pulmonary fibrosis. He was the beloved husband of 41 years to Jeanette (Trombley) Doyle.
Patrick was born on January 19, 1938 in Roxbury, MA of which he was very proud. He had also attended school there and later became a talented carpenter and artist.
He was a proud and honorable veteran of the US Navy having served from 1956-1958.
He will be sorely missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
In addition to his loving wife Jeanette he is survived by his three sons Patrick J. Doyle, Jr. of Plymouth, MA and Washington State, Michael Doyle of Florida, Mark Doyle of Rockland, and his two daughters Mairelena Gent of Plymouth and Colleen Venna of Halifax. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
His services will be held Saturday April 23 at 8:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral service at 9 AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman. Visiting hours will be held Friday April 22 from 4-8PM.
