Mrs. Mary “Maggie” Mabe, age 96, of Danbury, passed away on Saturday. April 16, 2011 at Stokes Reynolds Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 14, 1914 in Stokes County to the late Wesley and Emma Hall Mabe. Mrs. Mabe was a farmer and a member of North View Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Mabe is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, James Wesley and Faye Mabe, Jr., of King, and Boss and Barbara Mabe, of Eden. Mrs. Mabe was preceded in death by her husband, Homie Mabe, her parents, three brothers, and two sisters. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Cox-Needham Funeral Chapel in Danbury at 2:00 P.M. with Elder Milton Gunter and Elder Scotty Marshall officiating. Interment will follow at Snow Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawsonville. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 18, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Cox-Needham Chapel in Danbury.
