Esther (Smutz) Paru 88 years of age, passed away on Sunday, April 17th, 2011 of a short illness. Resident of Medford for 47 years and formerly of Cambridge. Born in Poland. Esther was the wife of the late Joseph Paru. She was the mother of Saul Paru of Florida and formerly of Concord MA, Sara Haiminis and her husband Michael, Bruce Paru and Barbara Paru. Daughter of the late Jacob Smutz and Chaya (Zinger) Smutz. Loving grandmother of Jason and Dana Paru, Shuki and Yoni Haiminis. Services were held from the Torf Funeral Service on Monday April 18th. Interment was at Ashkanaz Cemetery, Everett. Esther was a member of Temple Shalom of Medford and its sisterhood, Temple Beth Shalom Cambridge and its sisterhood and Hadassah.
