Worcester- Charles G. Hebert, 85, of 2 Nuttall Lane, died Friday, Jan. 23, in his home.
He leaves his wife of 62 years, Margaret (Yaeger) Hebert; four daughters, Barbara Rist of Wilbraham, Paula Hebert of Worcester, Donna Devlin of Worcester, and Joan Abraham of Shrewsbury; a brother, Richard Hebert of Leicester; a sister, Therese Morin of North Oxford; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Three sisters, Irene Ricci, Rita Shea, and Alice Hebert, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Edmour and Antoinette (Allard) Hebert and lived here all his life. He attended St. Joseph’s School.
Mr. Hebert was a stationary engineer for the former Belmont Home for 10 years, retiring in 1981. Previously, he had been a stationary engineer at Colonial Press in Clinton for many years.
He was a member of St. Stephen’s Parish.His family was his life.
The funeral will be held Monday, Jan. 26, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial will be private. Calling hours are from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Stephen’s Church, Restoration Fund, 16 Hamilton St., Worcester, MA 01604.
