Obituary

Frank P. Riccio, of Medford, died Friday at Life Care Center of Stoneham. He was 86.

Mr. Riccio was born in Boston, son of the late Frank and the late Elvira (Verosino) Riccio. He served in the Army during World War II as a Sergeant in the Engineers and participated in mine clearing throughout France and Germany. He was also among the first American troops to enter Berlin. He was a member of the occupational forces until his discharge.

He is survived by: his daughters Barbara Roberts of Medford, Diane Serra and her husband Richard of Buffalo, NY and a son James Riccio and his wife Patricia Auspos of Jackson Heights, NY. He leaves six grandchildren. His brother Ottone Riccio, sister Anna Morin and many nieces and nephews, also survives him.

Family and friends may call Monday from 4 - 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford and again at 9:30 on Tuesday morning followed by a Funeral Mass offered in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 10:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
