Ivey Kenneth Carver, age 49, Ambrose, GA passed away at his residence on Friday, April 15, 2011 following an extended illness. Mr. Carver was born on November 04, 1961 to the late Ivey and Louise Merritt Carver in Douglas, GA. Mr. Carver was also preceded in death by a brother: Alvin Carver. He was employed as a fork lift operator for a mobile home factory. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Trinity Non Denominational Church at 3:00 p.m. with burial following in the Griffin Cemetery. Survivors include: son: Robert Blake Carver; daughter: Ashlyn Carver; sisters: Kathy (Marvin) Key, Douglas, GA; Linda (Irwin) Brown, Ambrose, GA; brothers: Tillman (Clara) Carver, Jacksonville, FL, Curtis (Debbie) Carver, Hilton Head, SC, Earl (Jane Carver), J. W. (Myra) Carver and Ashley (Sherry) Carver, all of Ambrose, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Sims Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.
