Obituary

David A. Honohan, a longtime resident of Charlestown, died suddenly at his home in Methuen on Friday, April 15, 2011. He was 60 years old.

David was born in Boston on March 20, 1951 to the late Andrew J. Honohan and Winifred A. (Durant) Honohan. He grew up in Charlestown where he attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Boston High School in 1970. David began working at the Boston Record American Newspaper at a young age and eventually became a Pressman and joined the Pressman's Union Local # 3. He retired from The Boston Herald after 31 years of service. David enjoyed traveling to Maine and the outdoors of campnig and fishing.

David is the devoted brother of Marie LaBella and her husband John of Saugus and James Honohan and his wife Michele of Revere. He is the loving uncle of Andrew and Jamie Honohan and his grandnephew Andrew Honohan Jr. He is the loving companion of Mary Lou White and her daughters;Bernadette Connors and Melinda White. He is the loving Papa to Chris and Bree.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend David's Funeral on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours are on Monday, April 18, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m.
