Mary Joyce Schmitz Bardo, age 50, died on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. Joyce was born on December 24, 1960 to the late Johnny Criss and Mary Alice Surrette Schmitz. She was employed with Valley Tool in Water Valley, MS. Joyce loved her family and her grandchildren. She laughed a lot and enjoyed riding her 4-wheeler. Joyce attended Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at Elam Cemetery in Coffeeville, MS. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM.
Joyce is survived by two daughters, Andrea Johnson (Thomas) of Pine Flat in Lafayette County, MS and Regina Soileau of Coffeeville, MS; one son, Tyler Neighbors (Anna) of Pine Flat in Lafayette County, MS; four brothers, Terry Criss Schmitz (Linda), James Henry “Porky” Schmitz (Molly), Tommy Schmitz (Ellen) and Randy Schmitz (Debbie) all of Water Valley, MS; and nine grandchildren.
