Timothy T. Harkins, a lifelong Woburn resident passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 13th at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center following a brief illness at the age of 55. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Slack) Harkins. Born in Winchester he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Lichoulas) Harkins.
Tim, as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, attended Woburn Schools and graduated from the North East Metro Tech School with the class of 1974. Following school he worked for many years as an electrician, and for the past fifteen years he was employed at Endicott College where he worked as an electrical supervisor. Tim will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, but mostly for his generous and giving nature. He would help anyone in need, and over the years has assisted numerous family members and friends with electrical work or home projects insisting on nothing more than a simple thank you! His generosity, loving heart, and loyalty to his family and friends were limitless. Tim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was known to commandeer the grill at any gathering whether at his own home or the home of family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his beloved wife Nancy, Tim is survived by his loving stepchildren, Erica White of Scituate, Mark White of Brockton and Michael Stima of Woburn. He was the cherished brother of Daniel Harkins and his wife Beth of CT, Diane Gillis and her husband Larry of Woburn, Kathleen Lentini of Woburn, Linda O'Brien of Mansfield, Joan Griffin and her husband Brian of Kingston. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Ruthanne and Gene Rideout, George and Sue Slack all of Billerica, and Kathy Slack of Woburn. He is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and colleagues.
