AUBURN-Mary E. (Lyons) Racicot, 74 of 17 Woodland Rd. passed away peacefully Wed., January 21st at home. Her husband of 39 years Edward J. Racicot died in 1988. She leaves 2 sons John E. and his wife Elaine C. Racicot both of Millbury and Robert W. Racicot of Virginia Beach, VA, a brother John J. Lyons with whom she lived, 4 grandsons Christopher J., Ryan P. & Kevin M. Racicot all of Millbury and Matthew S. Racicot of Arlington, VA, a granddaughter Erin J. Racicot of Virginia Beach, VA, 5 nephews and a niece. A brother William J. Lyons died in 1981.
She was born on December 9, 1929 in Woburn, MA and graduated from high school in Northborough. Mrs. Racicot had worked for Imperial Distributors, Inc. for 21 years until her retirement in October of 1992. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, enjoyed knitting and puzzles and was an avid scrabble player. Mrs. Racicot was a regular patron of the Heritage Coffee Shoppe where she socialized daily with her friends.
The funeral is Saturday, January 24th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Friday, January 23rd from 5:00 until 8:00 PM and from 9:30 until 10:30 the morning of the funeral in the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions made to the charity of donor's choice.
