Robert "Bob" Seay, age 87 of Clarksville, TN, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center.
Services will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel at 2 p.m., with Rev. Skip Armistead officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 12 to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
He was born in 1923 in Stewart County, TN, son of the late James Angers Seay and Virginia Butts Seay. He was retired owner of Seay Sign Company. He was a charter member of Hilldale United Methodist Church, Past Master of Queen City Masonic Lodge #761, Scottish Rites Mason and Al Menah Shrine Temple. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Eva Wall Seay; brother, Paul Seay and a sister, Betty Kendrick.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Primm Farmer Seay; two sons, Robert Victor Seay (Sherry) and Tim Seay (Marie), both of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Janet McCaslin (Henry), Fredericksburg, VA; sister, Angeline Caroland, Fairfax, VA; step-son, Mark Farmer (Brenda), Parker, TX; ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brian McCaslin, Christopher McCaslin, Brian Nelson, Roger Courtney II, Troy Downey and Kim Redman. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Dr. Leon Bibb Sunday School Class.
