Jeanne M. (Tardif) Belba 86, of RockRidge Rd. died Saturday in The Friendly Home. Born in Canada, she was a daughter of the late Josephat and Eugenie (Parenteau) Tardif. Jeanne worked as a waitress for many years at the former Beverly Club and El Dorado Restaurant. She was a member of the St. Joseph Senior Citizens. Jeanne loved to sew and also enjoyed bingo, scrabble, and cribbage.
She is survived by her children, Donna A. Belba and Barbara M. Marquis both of Woonsocket and Michael A. Belba of Coconut Creek , FL.,three sisters Rose Caron of Woonsocket, Simonne Desrosiers of North Smithfield, and Cecile Joly of Andover, MA., and four grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Phillippe, Paul, Eugene, Harris, Gerard, and Lionel Tardif.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Friday 4-7 PM.
