Obituary

Mrs. Dorothy M. (Haveron) Bilodeau, of Taunton, died Monday, April 11 in Morton Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Norman T. “Fleeky” Bilodeau, Sr. She was born 81 years ago in Washington, D.C., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Victor James Haveron. She was educated on Long Island, N.Y., where she resided for several years, and had been a Taunton resident for the past 65 years. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a school bus driver for Bloom’s Bus Service and for R & F Transportation in Taunton for 25 years. She had previously been employed as as Certified Nurses Aide at the former Paul A. Dever State School in Taunton, and the Country Haven Nursing Home in Norton for a number of years. She enjoyed making wedding cakes, arts and crafts, sewing, camping and spending time with her family. Mrs. Bilodeau attended the North Taunton Baptist Church.
She leaves: 2 sons: Norman T. Bilodeau, Jr. and his wife, Lynn of Taunton, and Timothy P. Bilodeau and his wife, Cheryl of Taunton; 2 daughters: Rennee M. Bilodeau of New Bedford, and Dorothy Gendron of Taunton; 12 grandchildren: Chad Sigon, Jeremy Gendron, Mary Gendron, Peter Bilodeau, Sierra Leite, Shannon Leite, Evan Leite, Samantha Farias, James Bilodeau, Luke Bilodeau, Bridget Bilodeau and Dylan Bilodeau; 2 great grandchildren: Ezrie Gendron and Braxton Leite and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Wayne D. Leonard of Taunton.
A Memorial Service will be held at the North Taunton Baptist Church, 1940 Bay Street on Monday, May 2 at 6:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
