Stephen W. Hawkins, 58, of Franklin died April 12 in the Blaire House of Milford. He was the husband of Catherine M. (Carelli) Hawkins.
Born in Cambridge, October 27, 1952, the son of the late Walfrid and Josephine (Amici) Hawkins, Mr. Hawkins was raised in Cambridge, Arlington and Brookline and had lived in Franklin for the past 16 years.
He was a graduate of Brookline High School and The University of Massachusetts in Boston.
Mr. Hawkins had been the owner of New England Construction Specialties.
Mr. Hawkins served in the Air Force during the Viet Nam War attaining the rank of Airman First Class.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Amanda K. and Benjamin S. Hawkins of Franklin. He is also survived by his brother Richard Hawkins of Provincetown.
There will be a celebration of his life on Tuesday, April 19 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin from 4-6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.
