Obituary

BEVERLY- Marjorie I. (Makela) Liberge, 58, wife of Ronald C. Liberge, of Beverly, died Thursday morning, January 22, 2004, at her home following a short illness.

Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Urho and Mary (MacLeod) Makela and was a graduate of Peabody High School. She was a resident of Beverly for the past 20 years, coming from Salem where she had lived for 10 years.

Prior to her illness, she was employed at Lynnfield Medical Associates in Peabody for the past 5 years.

Mrs. Liberge was an active member of the St Peter’s Episcopal Church, Salem, where she was a member of the Vestry, the Altar Guild and the Episcopal Church Women. She also sang in the choir.

In addition to her husband, with whom she shared almost 30 years of marriage, she is survived by two daughters, Nicole and her husband Steve Irwin of Arlington, Texas, Kimberly Liberge of Beverly, three brothers, Richard and his wife Linda Makela, Robert and his wife Maryann Makela, Ralph and his wife Linda Makela, all of Peabody, one sister, Mary (Makela) Bonczek and her husband Lon Bonczek of Falmouth, one brother-in-law, Gerry Ouellet of Amesbury and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Bonnie Ouellet.

Her funeral service will be held on Monday, Jan. 26, 2004 at 11 am at the St Peter’s Episcopal Church, 24 St. Peter St., Salem. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Sunday, 2 to 6 pm at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem.
