BEVERLY: Geraldine M. “Gerry” (Piconi) Sherry, 74, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following an extended illness.
Born in Beverly on April 26, 1936, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Mary E. (Iovanna) Piconi. A graduate of Beverly High School, Gerry had resided in San Diego, CA for ten years before returning to Beverly in 1968.
Gerry was employed as hairdresser at Salon de Capri and D’Aldo’s in Beverly for many years. She had also once worked for Tognazzi Monuments in Beverly for several years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to music, socializing and had a real gift of gab. She also loved to spend time with her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Pamela L. Sherry-Landess and Linda A. and David A. Richardson all of Beverly; four grandchildren, Christina M., Brandon J. and Lindsey M. Louf and Arielle M. Richardson, several cousins and many dear friends.
Her funeral service will be privately held at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours. Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
